In 1971, Ray Tomlinson tapped on his keyboard and hit “send” on the first-ever email . . . all the way across the room to a second computer in his lab.
That’s a few feet for man, a revolution for mankind. Today, every day, a hundred and eighty billion emails circle the globe. The average person spends an hour a day hitting "send” or “receive."
This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. The God, whose son arrived in Bethlehem, teaches us that great things begin in humble places. Do you feel in the wrong place to be great? Remember the baby in the stable. Consider the history of email. There are no small places, people, or opportunities in the high calling of our daily work.
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling , and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. (2 Thess. 1:11)
