In the film, Coach Carter, a player named Timo quits the team and later asks to be reinstated. Coach tells Timo he must complete 2,500 push-ups and 1,000 sprint drills in five days. But by Friday, Timo is short of both goals, and Carter asks him to leave the gym.
At that point, another player steps forward. "I'll do push-ups for him," he says. "You said we're a team. One person struggles, we all struggle. One person triumphs, we all triumph." The teammate drops to the floor and begins doing push-ups. One by one, the rest of the team joins to help. Timo reach his goal.
