A teenage girl in front of a mirror grew frustrated and wailed, “All the girls wear their hair this way, but my hair won’t do right!”
The girl’s father studied her hair. He said, “Part it in the middle, brush it back, and tie it. Wear your hair that way for a week, and if half the girls in class aren’t copying you, I’ll give you $300.” Hearing the amount, his daughter accepted the challenge. Sure enough, within a week, almost every girl wore her hair brushed, parted, and tied simply.
